Road Trip Vehicle FOR SALE 2006 Ford Explorer XLT

2006 Ford Explorer XLT
My car has just over 134,000 miles, runs and drives great.
It has a clean title, and CARFAX history report.
Paint and interior are in great shape for an 8 year old vehicle.
Seats 7, with 2 front bucket, middle bench, and 2 fold down rear seats.
4.0 liter V-6 Automatic
Power windows, locks, mirrors, CD-MP3 player
A/C blows cold
Tinted windows
Tires have 40% tread, roughly 30,000 miles on them
After market 2 inch receiver hitch, plus factory 1 1/4" receiver.
NON-SMOKER

Ford Explorer's are known for their transmissions and radiators going bad.
No need to worry about that with mine. The trans was re-manufactured, and the radiator replaced with a new one, both in January of this year.

The only obvious issue with the car is the heater blend door. It hasn't work for quite some time.
The heater in the rear of the car works fine. It's just blowing warm out of the dash that's the issue.
I never use my heater, so I've never taken the time to have it fixed.

The car has been good to me, and would make somebody a great family car, or reliable first vehicle.
I do drive it on dirt roads quite often, but NO off-roading or pretending to.
That is the reason for the not squeaky clean engine compartment.
And this is my daily driver, so the longer it takes to sell, the more the listed miles will go up.

My kids are all grown now, and I miss having a truck. This is the only reason my Explorer is being sold. Gotta sell one, to buy the other.

I'm asking $5600, and am willing to negotiate some. Also, if you have an older 4 door truck, I could do some trading.

And by the way, the bike rack on the back is NOT included.

Old, Dumb, OR Just Hard Headed…..

Heading out tomorrow for a ride I really shouldn't be doing in August.
It's been a few months since I've ridden myself into the ground.
I guess tomorrow is as good a day as any!

25 Years.....

Twenty six years ago I met my wife......
Twenty five years ago today, we got married.....
It hasn't always been easy, nothing worth having ever is.
We have raised 3 beautiful kids together, and I love her today, just the same as I did back then.
Happy Anniversary to my Princess Shelly!

If You Woke Up Breathing, You're Ahead.....

“Sometimes you climb out of bed in the morning and you think, I'm not going to make it, but you laugh inside.....
remembering all the times you've felt that way.”
Charles Bukowski

 Have a GREAT Monday......

Just Another Easy Sunday Morning.....

Slept outside on our deck last night and listened to the rain.
It's become so rare around here, and it was very relaxing. Although, a futon bed would be much more comfy!
Got up and made myself bacon and eggs, and a FRESH POT!
Then headed to my home away from home, The Path Bike Shop. http://thepathbikeshop.com/
Now it's time to hit the sack again, and get a 4 hour nap before work.
Have a great Sunday folks!!

A Few Ride Pictures With My Nikon Birthday Camera.....

Mother Nature Took Care Of Us Today....

Instead of pounding David and I with muggy, unbearable heat, she gave us cloudy skies!
It wasn't cool by any means, but it was cooler than expected for a summer time Santa Ana ride!

What's A Good Friday Morning For YOU?

Shoot man.... most of MY good Friday mornings consist of a good ride out in "the canyon", then breakfast at the cafe, and end it with a snooze!
This morning was at regular Dr. appointment that went great, then meeting up, and having a birthday coffee at Peet's Coffee with "Peanut".
We sat and talked for 2 hours!!
Her tales of Colorado make me want to get back there soon!

So yep, I had a good Friday morning!

New To This….So Here Goes…..

My wife has been telling me for a couple of years now, "you should have a blog".

With all of the time, and pictures I post on Facebook, I guess she thought my own blog would be cool.

Well, I guess she really thought so, since she set me up with this for my birthday!

So, here we go….

I'll try and keep it interesting, post some cool pictures from our adventures on our bikes, and even try to make some sense every now and then!
